FAQ

Is Private Notes truly confidential?

We prioritize your privacy. Private Notes is designed to protect your data with strong encryption and secure practices. Check our Privacy Policy to learn more.

How do I share a note? Can I use Private Notes for that?

Yes! Once you write a note, Private Notes gives you a unique link. You can send this link through any platform you prefer.

Can the same Private Note be viewed by more than one person?

Sure. Just configure an expiration time under options. The note will remain available during that timeframe, no matter how often it is accessed.

What if I sent it to someone by mistake?

You can read it yourself to trigger deletion. Once opened, the note is destroyed and can't be opened again.

Can I know when my note has been opened?

Yes. Enable notifications and enter your email. Private Notes will inform you as soon as your message is viewed.

Is it possible for someone to copy the message?

Unfortunately, yes. While the note will self-destruct, recipients can still copy or screenshot it. Our goal is secure transmission, not post-access restrictions.

Can I get a note back after it’s read?

No. Once accessed, the note is permanently erased. It won’t appear in history or browser cache either.

How long do unopened notes remain?

Notes that go unread are kept for up to 30 days before being automatically deleted. See more in our Privacy Policy.
